Accu Tech USA exceeds customer expectations amid COVID-19 outbreak

As the number of people being infected with the COVID-19 virus continues to increase, Accu Tech USA is stepping up to help critical medical life science companies get the equipment they need to increase the coronavirus diagnostic capacity in the U.S.

Accu Tech USA, an essential supplier of automation and motion solutions for many critical life sciences businesses, has limited in-office staff in compliance with shelter-in-place guidelines, but they were determined to meet customer demands – even with a skeleton production crew in place.

“We have built our business based on a customer first strategy; it’s at the heart of our company’s DNA,” said Ed Lee, president of Accu Tech USA. “During this COVID-19 crisis, we recognize that we have a vital role to play to support the industries that are on the front lines in combatting this virus.”

Recently, due to unprecedented market demand, one of the largest global medical technology companies contacted our sales team needing additional linear guides to ramp up their production efforts for their coronavirus test and to increase access to their automated molecular platform. This molecular testing technology helps detect the presence of an infection and to identify the virus by targeting small amounts and then amplifying that portion until there’s enough for detection.

Even with a skeletal crew in place, the Accu Tech USA production and customer service teams jumped into action.

“As a small business, we are used to flexible operations and being nimble to meet our customer demands,” said Diana Frost, director of operations for Accu Tech USA. “We manage our inventory to be able to deliver in-stock linear guides within days compared to weeks from our competition.”

The Accu Tech USA team, not only pulled linear guide stock to send to our customer, but they were able to send a partial shipment the same day the request was made to ensure the customer was able to increase their production capability quickly.

“All of our departments are now focused on how the products and services we offer can help our country during this crisis,” added Frost. “Our sales team is working tirelessly to contact other front-line companies that may need to increase their production efforts to offer our support. Our production team is continuing to work with our suppliers to manage inventory and to ship products to customers across the U.S.”

“In the case of COVID-19, having these tests readily available to be deployed to the frontline will make a real impact in slowing down the spread of this virus,” said Lee. “I am always proud of our team for working together to exceed the expectations of our customer and, in this instance, I am extremely grateful for our team being able to play a small part in our nations response to this crisis.”
